Dear Bones,I know you like including comic relief episodes in your series. And most of the time, I’m okay with that.

However, in a show with as serious a tone as Darker Than Black, it’s sort of akin to putting a speed bump in the middle of a 65mph freeway. Much better to keep the comic relief to banter and one-liners throughout the series.In other words, get this redhead and her idiot boss out of my show, and give me more Hei.

In all seriousness, in another show - or their own show! - I probably would love Kiko and Kurasawa. They’re actually pretty damn amusing. But throwing a comic relief-type episode in a series like this just doesn’t work for me; I’m just itching to keep on with the real plot.

Complaints about this episode aside, I like this series quite a bit, and not just ’cause Li/Hei is pretty yummy-looking, either. It’s got an interesting story, and it’s also character-driven - now that we’ve gotten a little hint about Hei’s past I’m really curious.

Keep on it, Bones. And quit with the speed bumps.
