Stephen Sing, who I reported on a while back for allegedly gloating about his having “double-6-ed so many downloaders.” He admitted that he did indeed post antagonising messages and even noted that it was stupid, which he has no doubt figured out thanks to becoming the target of the Internet Hate Machine, which has even sent him death threats. (He did not, for the record, acknowledge his horrendous misuse of the tilde as a period. Grammar counts, people!)
In other related news, another Singapore ISP has been forced by law to give up the names of anime downloaders on its network after a long legal battle, and one blogger argues for an interpretation of the Singaporean law that leaves fansubs to be legal. I don’t know diddly squat about the laws of Singapore so I can’t attest to its accuracy, but it’s an interesting read nonetheless.
