Ironically, I was just thinking about this video, in which Filipino prison inmates perform Michael Jackson’s Thriller dance.
And now, what do I find today? This video, in which the same prison inmates (or so I’m told) perform the Hare Hare Yukai dance. The footage is greyscale and not excellent so it’s hard to tell for sure that it’s the same group, but the locale sure looks the same. Word is that it’s a rehearsal, not the final product.

If they’re really Filipinos, I hope they get the idea behind the dance…
On second though, I hope not.
Probably the equivalent of the flash mob…

They’ve done the Algorithm March (http://youtube.com/watch?v=WjMd2Vabcv8) from a popular Japanaese kids’ show before, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re targeting The Haruhi Dance next. =D

That gives Suzumiya Haruhi a whole new reason to be melancholy.
