Pachinko…Anime…Aninko? Pachime?
Dated: 25 Aug 2007
Earlier today it was announced that an anime of Kaitou Tenshi Twin Angels– which translates roughly to “Heart-stealing Angel Twin Angels” –is in the works, along with a manga. The source material? A pachinko game. Seriously.
The new show will feature Yukari Tamura, a.k.a. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha’s Nanoha, and Mamiko Noto, a.k.a. Jigoku Shoujo’s Ai Enma, as the leads: Haruka Minaduki and Aoi Kannaduki.
If you’re at all curious, KaiTen is not the first pachinko-based anime out there: a chibi comedy called Yoshimune made in 2006 was also based on a “pachisuro” (short for “pachinko surotto,” pachinko slot).

I think everyone should own a pachinko game especially if you love pinball but live in an apartment. Even in a house a Pinball takes up the room of three arcade cabinets. They are just loads of fun and, being vertical, can be placed on any wall.
If you get one I’d go with a 1970’s model because back then the games had a spring loaded ball launcher similar to a pinball machine. Now they just shoot out balls and you can only change the power they leave the gate but the balls just fly like an automatic rifle.
Also, the older models are easier to fix IMHO. You can get them on Ebay but I see them at the arcade auction all the time.
