They should have announced it on Talk Like a Pirate Day
Again, not strictly anime-related, but it’s media and entertainment related, so we’ll see how it goes.
The Pirate Bay, a Sweden-based operation that hosts trackers for all sorts of pirated materials, is suing various media companies because the companies have apparently paid professional hackers to do all sorts of naughty things to take down the trackers, including DDOS attacks and infrastructural sabotage.
Among the companies being sued: Ubisoft, Sony, and Atari– all their Swedish or Nordic offshoots, anyway.
Should be interesting to see what happens…
