I just finished the last episode of Potemayo and I bawled like a baby.
…Well, not really. But it was a good ending.
If you haven’t already, I recommend watching the series. It’s short, and although the visual style could be cavity-inducing, the show itself is wacky and self-mocking enough to be really enjoyable. Definitely my second-favorite of the summer season. (I hardly need to tell you what comes first.)

I haven’t seen the last episode yet, but it’s definitely been one of the best shows this season, and almost totally overlooked by a lot too! I’m waiting for the non-anonymous fansubs to be done (ASF, I think?) for archival purposes. Of course, if it gets licensed that’s even better, I’d love to buy it, think any of the American companies would be interested in a series like this?
Hmm, I’m just visiting via AnimeNano, but I have to say, based on your layout (excellent btw, nice change to the old pink, if I’m thinking of the right blog..) that your favourite of this season is Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei? :)

Actually her favorite was Naruto: Shippuden’s summer arc…true story.

LIES. Why must everyone tell LIES about me?
My fave was definitely Zetsubou ;)
As for companies that could license it, let’s see…I could definitely picture ADV or FUNi doing it, but they’ll do almost anything really.
I’d like to see the original 4koma comic strip come to the U.S. Maybe I’ll mention it to Shizuki at Broccoli– it’s cute enough to seem like a good fit for them. (Though I don’t know what heir relationship with JP publisher Futabasha is…hm.)

Damn. I cried. Not cause the episode was sad or anything, but because it was the final episode of an awesome series.
Why do all the good ones have to come to an end? WHY!?

Well, uh, they’re different seasons, so it’s not like they have to compete for “favorite of the season.”
That aside, I’ll have to wait and see how Zetsubou finishes its run before I’ll say. ^_^
