Gurren Lagann, Owa…wa…wahhhhh! T_T
Yes, I just finished up Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. After the last episode I didn’t think they could surprise me, and…well, I was right. But I’ll keep the remaining commentary under a cut ;)
Yeah, nothing terribly surprising here; the Gurren-Dan wins and Nia vanishes with the Anti-Spirals. The epilogue was a bit interesting…and I’m so glad they didn’t show too much of old!Yoko. (I want to keep her young and hot in my mind, thanks.)
…Wow, there’s not really that much to say. Episode 26 was really far more OMGEPIC! than ep27, but then, 27 was really just the end and denouement, so that’s not so weird I guess. I dunno. I think the climax was really when Kamina (or his spirit, or his memory, or whatever) pulled everyone out of the alternate universes in 26..but it would have been rough to cram that AND all the other stuff into the final ep. Hmmm.
But still. What an awesome show.
Wow, I just finished watching it like an hour ago. I’m speechless. This has to be the best show of 2007 without a doubt. Gainax has made a masterpiece like no other since Evangelion. And that’s saying a lot. I cried manly tears lol

The whole series was made of win. The ending was bittersweet and I loved it
