Quickie: Weird DVD Bonus or Plot to Take Over America?
AoD reports that Bandai Visual Japan is releasing a Blu-Ray box set of Yukikaze that will feature the English dub and subs as well as the original Japanese track. Now, I can’t imagine why a significant number of Japanese people would be interested in an English dub (maybe just for the lulz?), so maybe BVJ is seeing if American fans will take the bait and import it to the US?
Lol, maybe the hardcore fans would want to see all versions of their favourite anime? Reminds me of the special edition of FF games that also have the English dub.
Well, one thing Blu-Ray has going for it is the Region/Zone assignment. R1 for Blu-Ray covers all American continents, Japan, N/S Korea, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia. It will be a snap to import/export between Japan and US since both countries can play the same Blu-Ray discs.
