True story! Remember that Geico commercial that featured clips from the original Speed Racer? No? Well, here it is.
Now there’s a commercial for Esurance that features the live-action Speed Racer, complete with a promo website for the film.
Good lord people, I don’t know what to think. Which insurance company should I use to ally myself with the almighty Speed Racer?!

Believe it or not, but I think GEICO decided to do a cartoon style commercial through licensing Speed Racer because we had already launched animation (July 2004.) I love their ads, and I could be wrong, as coincidences happen in the zeitgeist, but that seemed like a strange one to say the least! We’re really happy to be involved with the live action Speed Racer, and the visuals are amazing, to say the least. So, in short, I’d say visit Esurance, but you’d have to take my word for it, as Director of Brand & Public Relations for the company…… Regardless of whom you choose — go Speed Racer, go!
