Oh, God, Really? More Rosario to Vampire

I kinda gave up on Rosario to Vampire, probably after the swim club episode? I never made an intentional decision to drop it; it was just too much fluff and fanservice to really retain my interest. (Not that it was trying to be anything deep, and I have nothing wrong with entertainment being pure fluff; just sometimes I’m not up for it.)

But clearly it was enough for some of y’all, or maybe just some of the Japanese otaku, because ANN reports that a second season, tentatively titled Rosario to Vampire Capu2 (where “2″ is pronounced “tsuu” and therefore very similar to Moka’s “capu-chuu!” thing, is in the works. The new season will air as soon as October and will feature new, anime-only characters.

None of which makes me any more interested in it than before…

Oh god anime only characters can only mean 1 thing……filler fanservice of DOOM!

  2. Todd Says:

I actually watched the whole series through, but at the end, they butchered it. The manga I feel is entertaining and was hoping that the anime would be just as good. And now they are using “anime only” characters, I feel that I will just be sticking with the manga and it’s sequel for the time being…

  3. Roryo Says:

Hahahahahahah. I only watched the first two episodes.

  4. Deranged Says:

No no!!!! not even doing the manga!? I feel so betrayed… I’ve given up on the anime now and I am going to stick to the manga…

  5. scottfrye Says:

I’d rather see a second season of Wolf and Spice.

  6. gia Says:

@scott: Seconded, thirded, fourth’d, and tenth’d. (Betcha didn’t know I get ten votes, right? I’m an anime superdelegate!)

  7. Papilo Says:

Well, I agree with Todd, I lost my time watching the whole anime version. On the other hand, the manga is kinda of fun. I dont know why they change the entire plot and now, after a crap ending, they gonna do a second season?

There’s others series that deserve a second season, such as Spice and Wolf, Shigofumi, Claymore and Gunslinger Girls. =)

  8. gia Says:

@Papilo: Well, Gunslinger Girls has a second season…or did you mean they deserve a third? ♥

  9. I’m Sorry But Why!? | Deranged Minds Says:

[...] Yeah, Rosario to Vampire is getting another season. I somehow knew it was coming but I was hoping they would continue with the manga story-line which gets incredibly better (even the artwork does) but apparently the second season will apparently feature some anime-only characters and will probably be fan service filled filler (rubbish sentence I know). [...]

well i dont cair what u say i liked the manga and the anime, i cant w8 4 the seconed seaseon
    i liked the “fluff”

  11. kamali Says:

i agree with lawrence m, a lot of anime/manga combos that i’ve seen have ended up like this, what i do is see them as two different things instead of caring about wether they match. oh and bty, i can’t wait either! ;3
