I feel like this should be a Scooby Doo mystery: The Case of the Disappearing Anime Series!
Crunchyroll has announced that for the time being, they’re taking down Tower of Druaga. Why? I have no idea; all they say is tha it’s not GONZO’s fault.
BLASSREITER is still available on CR, though, and other sites (YouTube, BOST, and apparently BitTorrent) are still streaming both BLASSREITER and Druaga, and in BOST’s case offering downloads for iPod and PSP. At least now BOST’s is free.
Still, though…I wonder what happened? Speculation, anyone?

Well. Damn. I was gonna watch that tonight. That’ll teach me to assume these things won’t fall apart while I’m not looking.

That sucks…I was going to watch that this week. Maybe they’re doing it precisely for the internet reaction?

Quality issues? Maybe it wasn’t bringing enough money as they hoped?

@Caitlin: I doubt that; it looks very unprofessional, and Crunchyroll *needs* to seem professional right now.
@IcyStorm: I think it’s more likely to be bandwidth problems.

Could be the “choppyness” issue that both gia and I wrote about, though I’m not sure why they’d take it down NOW to address that, unless the move by BOST to make the high quality stream free forced their hand in that regard.

CR fails at providing enough information other than transparent “we can’t tell you and can’t really figure out a better way to explain it” statements, once again.
