A Google alert nudged me over to this forum post, where someone is offering up a downloadable add-on to the ol’ SNK vs Capcom fighting game– a playable Yoko from Gurren Lagann. I was never particularly into any of these games, but now I’m kinda jonesin’ for a little start-up-down-left-right-left-up-A, if you know what I mean.

I’m a gamer… and I don’t know what you mean.
Care to enlighten me? (it’s been bugging me all day…)

@kikimaru: Well, I’m no expert, but I gather that they’re using some kind of Capcom vs SNK rom, and this is a hack to allow you to play as Yoko, custom-made by a fan.
I could be off-track though.

@gia: I should’ve quoted your “I’m kinda jonesin’ for a little start-up-down-left-right-left-up-A, if you know what I mean.” — because I still don’t get it (did you mean Konami Code?)

@kikimaru: I shoulda known someone was going to call me on that! I just googled for cheats for the game and found this:
“Fight as Brainwashed Ken:
Hold Start, then press Up(2), Down, Left(2), Right, Left , Up, A at the character selection screen.”
It sounded funny enough so I just went with it. ♥ I was kinda hoping it would sound vaguely dirty. ;)

It has nothing to do with roms. It’s Mugen a 2D fighting game engine. I used to be in the Mugen scene a long time ago when it was popular. It has sorta died down since or atleast that’s what I believe.
If you want some info about Mugen here is a link:

Here is an active Mugen forum for anyone that likes to get started:
