‘Gurren Lagann’ Sci-Fi Deal Not Set In Stone

Toshifumi Yoshida has posted in Bandai Entertainment’s new blog to let us know that the deal in which Gurren Lagann will air on the Sci-Fi Channel isn’t actually finalized yet.
But there’s some more info: they ARE trying to get the dub ready in time for this July airing schedule, which means if you have any friends working at either company, they probably won’t be talking to you for a while.
Bang Zoom! is doing the dub, with Aniplex America’s Hiroe Tsukamoto and Yoshida supervising. And they’re working their asses off to get the dub done in time, so they’re really hoping the deal goes through.
Aaaand the dub cast is being announced at Fanime this weekend, where Gurren Lagann will also premiere in the video rooms (subbed). (And to someone, I forget who now, who told me that they thought BE’s panel was cancelled– that was Bandai Visual USA’s.)
On a tangentially related note, Fanime now has a twitter account for updates and announcements, which is kinda badass.
A con to have a twitter account that is pretty cool.
