You’re in luck, my friends: in spite of having stayed up until 4:30am, my body won’t let me sleep in any more. And you benefit! Here’s some of the news meanderingaround the Internets today:

  • ADV’s Chris Oarr does an interview with Ain’t It Cool Anime, who discusses the status of ADV Manga. In spite of comments from Chris Johnston, Oarr assures the world that ADV Manga still exists, and then completely refuses to actually provide anything concrete, as noted in more detail by Brigid over at MangaBlog.
  • Speaking of Brigid, she’s got a fantastic (and notably calm and collected) round-up of thoughts on TOKYOPOP’s Manga Pilots contract, and you may find that at second glance, Tpop’s not as out-of-line with other publishers as one might think
  • RightStuf has launched their website for Victorian Romance Emma, and anyone who likes an amazingly detailed period piece and/or a good, solid, unpretentious romance really ought to check the show out if they haven’t already.
  • FUNimation is offering some free episodes of Shin-chan, along with clips from Vexille and a “special video” from Baldr Force EXE. I bought the Vexille DVD at Acen but I still haven’t watched it @_@
