FUNi Goes Virtual for Movie Premieres

I get some interesting e-mails from FUNi, but this one was pretty unexpected: FUNimation is running a program with vSide, a 3D virtual world, in which they’ll show both the xxxHOLiC movie and the second season of School Rumble, along with interviews with voice actors (Colleen Clinkenbeard and Brina Palencia, respectively).

All you have to do is download the 129+mb file and register…and the first 75 people to sign up get access to the live premiere night thing. Everyone else gets to watch the stuff after the premiere.

Now, I had never heard of vSide before I got this, so it seems kind of random. Anyone else familiar with the program?

I’ve heard of Second Life, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen this one. They got a Mac client, so I’ll give it a shot tonight.

::hoping for no furries or flying penises with this one::

Flying penises are cool. In fact, that’d be pretty awesome. The high Furry Threat Level keeps me away from stuff like that, though. Damned furries.
