Newsflash: ‘Vampire Knight’ is Really Popular

ICv2’s got the latest list of best-selling graphic novels, and while Naruto books took the two top spots, the overall results may surprise you. See, Naruto has three books on the list, which means it ties for the most books there– with Vampire Knight. (Although ICv2 seems to mistakenly report that all four volumes of VK are on the list…I think Chibi Vampire’s appearance at #10 threw them off.)
Wow, a shoujo soap opera with hot vampire sexiness and beautiful gothic art is popular? NO WAY!

vampire knight has .. gotten uninteresting too fast. im pretty sure most of the people who buy it a girls who like the hot vampire factor and wahtnot. its becoming more complicated and in a way, when vampire knight comes to mind most people identify it with drop dead gorgeous die hard hot vampire that are sex on sticks (especially to some girls, its scary) . seriously TT”

@Kate: To my knowledge, Vampire Knight isn’t yet licensed for release in North America, although VIZ will probably get it eventually. But that means I would recommend getting something else for your sister. :)
