Alice To Bring More Bishies Into My Sad, Lonely Life

Word from Animate is that the shoujo reverse-harem (non-adult) game Heart no Kuni no Alice ~Wonderful Wonder World~ (translates to something like “Alice of the Heart’s World”) is going to get an OVA.

The visuals are pretty reminiscent of that one chapter of Ouran Host Club that’s an Alice in Wonderland reference, but somewhat less goofy– but very, very shoujo. Honestly, I’m not all that impressed with the game art, pictured above…Alice looks kinda dumb.

But I hope that the OVA will keep the voice cast from the game. Why? Because Katsuyuki Konishi– aka Gurren Lagann’s Kamina –plays the Mad Hatter, who is apparently also known as Blood Dupre. And Jun Fukuyama (Code Geass‘ Lelouch, xxxHOLiC’s Watanuki) plays Tweedles Dee and Dumb. YARR. Also in the cast (now with 100% more official romanizations):

  • Tsuguo Mogami in his first major role: the March Hare/Elliot March
  • Yuuko Kaida (Hevlaska in D.Gray-Man) as the Queen of Hearts/Vivaldi
  • Kouki Miyata (Kyo Kara Maoh!’s Ken Murata) as the White Rabbit/Peter White
  • Takehito Koyasu– one of Japan’s most prolific seiyuu, Gundam Wing’s Zechs, One Piece’s Admiral Aokiji –as the watch seller/Julius Monray
  • Daisuke Hirakawa (School Days‘ notorious Makoto) as the Ace of Hearts
  • Noriaki Sugiyama (Bleach’s Ishida, Naruto’s Sasuke, Fate/Stay Night’s Emiya– what a trio) as the Cheshire Cat/Boris Airay
  • Kenyuu Horiuchi (Metal Gear Solid’s Raiden, Yakitate!! Japan’s Brad Kidd– and, interestingly, he’s listed as Brad Pitt’s dub voice in general, among others, on Wikipedia as Mary Gowland
  • In other words? A made-for-anime cast. Yum.

      Interesting.. I wonder if I should try to get this game if the anime is interesting and if there is English subs in the game?

      @animemiz: I’ve been contemplating to import the game in because it has one of the most interesting combination of seiyuu and well, it’s Alice in Wonderland!

      About English subs - there aren’t officially any but apparently there is a third party program/software that you can use to loosely translate everything in-game. But the translations usually turn out like babelfishe’s

      Well, that Cheshire Cat dude looks awesome… but what’s more interesting is Hevlaska’s seiyuu as the Queen of Hearts. So much talent right there~ I also hope they use her in the anime ^_^;

      I’ve been wanting to play Heart no Kuni no Alice for years now but I haven’t spared time for it lol. It’s definitely one of the few otome games out there worth your time. I’ve been looking forward to this OAV ever since it was announced like last month! XD

      Also, Alice is NOT dumb. She’s one of the rare few kickass otome game heroines.
