TOKYOPOP freelancer Lianne has mentioned a few series that are definitely not getting the ax from Tpop anytime soon: Fruits Basket (duh), Saiyuki, Tactics, and Rave Master.

So fans of those series can rest easy, while fans of other titles are still on the edge of their seats waiting for word from the ‘Pop.

    That’s what they get for spending too much money shoving out crappy OEL “manga”~

    I’m still waiting on word for V.B. Rose, Gakuen Alice, and Aria. I’m especially waiting for Aria vol.4 since ADV left off on vol.3. And it seems that Tokyopop has been advertising Gakuen Alice quite a bit and perhaps grooming it as Fruits Baskets’ successor since Furuba ends with vol.23 next Spring and Gakuen Alice has 10+ volumes.

    Was it really even worth worriyng about Fruits Basket ?

    @Sigue
    Except that I think that there will be more “genuine” mangas scrapped than the OEL ones and that they may on the contrary push even more of those on the market because it actually cost them less.

    I’m very confident that Loveless will be saved, but I’m worried about the fate of Aria, Life, and Your & My Secret…
