Rumor Alert: ‘Skip Beat’ to Skip to Anime?
NeoSam’s keen eyes over at the AnimeSuki forums spotted a Skip Beat anime adaptation on Moon Phase’s list of upcoming anime. Now, that means we haven’t had any confirmation, but Moon Phase isn’t wrong very often, so we’ll see what happens.
For those who haven’t read VIZ’s English release of Skip Beat, Yoshiki Nakamura’s still-running 2002 shoujo manga, here’s the plot brief: Kyoko agrees to go to Tokyo with her childhood love Sho when he tries to start a career in music, but then overhears him whining about how plain and boring she is as he flirts with his manager. She tries to hit him, but is pulled away by security, and Sho tells her if she wants revenge she’d better become a bigger star than him…which she attempts to do.

You made my day with this news, gia XD And I checked Moonphase and it’s super confirmed. Hal Film Maker was listed to be its producer, to be directed by Kiyoko Sayama. I’m one happy fangurl~

Ugh FINALLY! xDD I always thought its incredible retarded how there’s no anime out for this yet. I mean, with the art and the story this is a guaranteed hit. But oh well, better late then never =D
