FUNimation Gets ‘Heroic’

…Age, that is! FUNimation has just announced via press release that they’ve acquired the license to Heroic Age, a sci-fi drama from XEBEC featuring…well, they’re not technically mechs, but they’re mech-like creatures. Except for when they’re human…
…Perhaps I should begin again! A bunch of humans (also known as the Iron Tribe in this particular show) are travelling the universe searching for the key to their home planet (Earth), which they haven’t seen for a long time. On the way the find Age, a strange, monkey-like boy who is that key. Unfortunately, he is also the avowed enemy of the other three tribes that control most of the universe. Each of these tribes, including Age, has the ability to morph into an enormously powerful being called a Nodos.
That’s the short-short-short version, anyway. The series takes a lot of its themes, names, etc from Greek mythology, and it’s a pretty decent show (albeit not amazing). It’ll be coming out in ‘09!
