The always controversial and woefully under-appreciated (no, really) manga/anime series Kodomo no Jikan is adding an OVA series to its list of anme versions– that list also including a single OVA episode that came with volume 4, the first TV anime series, and the pending second season.
Now, I’m betting they’ll hang on to the serious storylines (yes, really, they’re there) for the second anime season, so you can probably expect more of the edge-pushing, over-the-top comedy of that original OVA episode…which was marketed in part as not airable on TV.
EDIT: I’ve been informed by reader CrystalFalls, who actually has the manga volume with the details, that this OVA series IS the second season of the anime. Which is good, because it means that the second season won’t suffer from the same censorship issues that the first season did.
And hey. They used “OVA”! ♥

The OVA series is the “second season” they already announced. They never said the second season would be on TV, and manga #5’s DVD talks about summarizing all 13 episodes of the TV series, implying that the anime’s TV run is over. All that the webpage blurb is saying is confirming that the next, already announced Kodomo no Jikan anime is going straight to video.

@CrystalFalls: Thanks for the heads up! The website doesn’t offer a lot of info, and I don’t live in Japan, so I don’t have the volume in my hands just yet. (I’m assuming you do?)

I always liked the Seven Seas title ‘Nymphet’ better because it made it seem more perverse then it really was. @.@
