FUNimation Gets Noisy!

And by noisy, I mean Baccano!, which is Italian for “noise” (or commotion, or ruckus).
Not only that, but they have the first episode online (sub-only) for those who know the password! To get the password you’re supposed to watch the FUNimation Update, quickie edition, but I know you’re all impatient, so here it is: “Flying Pussyfoot” (no, really).
ABOUT. TIME.
Flying Pussyfoot is the train that most of the series takes place on, if anyones wondering….. I thought the show was weird, but I really enjoyed that along with the pretty well done action. Was a few lovably characters too. Hopefully funimation will stop overcharging me so I can buy this.
This is the most entertaining and original I had watched in a long time. Glad that someone actually pick it up in the US.
Finally! Now I can buy it without having to sell my blood…
Funny that it’s now considered annoyingly slow for an anime series to be licensed just under a year after it’s debuted in Japan. How times change.
Granted, I can see why a company wouldn’t immediately jump on Baccano!, as it’s often a deliberate mess (hence the title) that’s likely to alienate a lot of viewers looking for a casually enjoyable show. The story doesn’t come together until the middle stretch, and the characters have to carry it until then. But once all of the pieces fit, you’ve got one of the best anime series of the last five years.
I’m looking forward to the dub more than usual for this, since some of the Japanese voices (KARollllll) annoy the hell out of me.
