Will ADV have anything new to say? Stay tuned to find out in my last Otakon panel!

Matt Grenfield and John Ledford, ADV co-founders, preside. They DO have 6 announcements to make though one did not get cleared. The company is doing better than expected and replaced Sojitz shortly after Expo.

The titles are 5 live-action and 1 anime. The live-action will be released under a new label, Switchblade. The titles are Attack Girl Swim Team, Cool Restaurant, Gluttonous 1 and 2, Female Prisoner Epsilon, and Kunoichi. The anime title is the Koharu Biyori OVA. And there are more to announce in the near future.

Q&A: There may be news later this year on an Evangelion live-action flick, and Joseph Chou (of Appleseed Deus Ex Machina) is involved.

No chance of getting back the Sojitz titles, but ADV is in talks to be contracted to complete the former ADV titles for consistency’s sake.

John asks if they’ll dub the live-action films? Sub only first, but at least one will probably get dubbed, possibly more depending on if they get booked up finishing the other series.

ADV manga? They’re trying! And they will be announcing some Blu-Ray releases but it’ll depend on what materials are available since most TV anime aren’t made in HD. Those announcements are coming in fourth quarter.

Any new thinpacks? A lot more coming (including some that were never released in box sets) but no specific titles yet. How about PSN or Xbox? Theye were first on Xbox and they will be on PSN.

Are BD releases part of dvd license or do those have to be renegotiated? Depends on who they’re dealing with.

Light novels? Very translation-intensive manga department has talked about it, but not immediately, very time-intensive.

ADV site updates? Yes, it’s being updated. El Cazador? If they haven’t announced it they can’t talk about it– they have another 15 titles in play still.

Saint Seiya? Mazinkaizer? Both in the great unknown. What happened to the Gurren Lagann dub? They finished the first five episodes and then the Sojitz shit hit the fan (my words, not theirs).

Did you guys merge with FUNimation? Uhhh, no. More live-action? Yes, it’s not new for them.

The licensors of Byosoku 5cm and a few other titles have not yet had their fates fully determined.

Aaaand now we get Kiba ep, so the end.
