xxxHOLiC Staff Apologizes to CLAMP, Comedy Duo Rahmens

You know those Apple ads where they have the insufferably cool guy playing “Mac” and John Hodgman as the PC? Well, in Japan they have ads of a similar type, and they’re acted out by the comedy duo Rahmens– who, if I’m reading this right, who have just been apologized to (along with CLAMP) by the xxxHOLiC staff.
Apparently the most recent xxxHOLiC Kei DVD (special edition volume 2) came with a drama CD whose script (not written by CLAMP) that made use of a quotation from a past act of Rahmens’, but their permission was never acquired for said use. So the anime staff has apologized to Rahmens, their management company Twinkle Productions, and to CLAMP for making a mess on the official xxxHOLiC TBS site (once again, that’s here). (And thanks to reader CrystalFalls for some additional corrections.)

CLAMP didn’t actually write the script for that particular CD drama. Thus, it’s nice the CLAMP apologizes with the anime staff anyway.

CLAMP isn’t apologizing to anyone. The anime staff is apologizing TO CLAMP, along with everyone else involved, for getting CLAMP stuck in this mess even though CLAMP had nothing to do with it.

They should apologize for ruining the story.

They used a quote? Well, I doubt it will really hurt them. People use quotes from pop culture media all the time, so I doubt many people frowned on them. Still, at least they’re being precautious.

Ok, cautious. Forget the pre-.
