Roundup-tan: Oops, It Got A Little Late

Hey, it’s still August 25th in most of the country!
Anime:
- TokyoGraph has news of Studio 4°C’s next installment of Genius Party: they’ve tapped MySpace Jpopper Tamura Ayumi, aka tamurapan, to sing the ending theme. Catch one of tamurapan’s fun tunes (and an awesome video to boot) here.
- Is Anime on DVD at all distinguishable from Mania.com anymore? Well, anyway, whichever the site I should credit this to reports that FUNimation has a few new titles on their Blu-Ray slate: Samurai 7, Genghis Khan, and One Piece Movie 8: The Desert Princess and the Pirates - Adventures in Alabasta.
Manga:
- ICv2 has a three-part interview with Del Rey Manga’s Dallas Middaugh, who discusses everything except the kitchen sink (and maybe that cool hat). I hereby command thee to check it out, because you should check out anything Dallas Middaugh does, ever.

Movies:
- At last! VIZ has announced a theatrical release for the second live-action Death Note film, Death Note II: The Last Name. It will run two nights only, October 15th and 16th, at a variety of theaters throughout the country– you’ll be able to get a list off of Fathom Events’ website. Subscribers to Shonen Jump will get early access to tickets on August 29th; everyone else will have to wait until September 5th.
In Japan:
- I may be spending most of my weekend as a maid, but that doesn’t mean Japan won’t continue one-upping the US on the maid front (without even trying): alafista reports that the CureMaid Cafe is running a Gurren Lagann cosplay event through September 15th– be sure to check it out, there’s a cute video of Cherry(/Yoko) giving a tour of the cafe and the specialty menu. Looks like they’ve got a lot of special TTGL art, too. Do totally want.

I’d think more of tamurapan if she didn’t have a Myspace.
