Mm, delicious emergency trips to Best Buy. O_o

Anime:
- Rumor has it– thanks to Moon Phase’s anime list –that Ichigo 100% creator Mizuki Kawashita’s popular Shounen Jump romcom Hatsukoi Limited is getting the anime treatment. Rumor for now, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was true.
- Speaking of Moon Phase, they also report that Akiyuki Shinbou, director of Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei and Hidamari Sketch (among others), is teaming up with Shaft once again to direct their upcoming Bakemonogatari anime.

Manga:
- Someone offered me a widget for the blog today…I’m disinclined to install widgets, but I WILL link you to the video the widget was for: a 1-hour documentary on manga culture in Japan. It occasionally just screams student/amateur indie doc, but they did get such big names as Leiji Matsumoto, Junko Mizuno, and Mandarake president Shozo Furukawa to chat them up on-screen, so it can be worth a watch…even with the unfortunate definition of “otaku” in the screencap above. Also, the video has a lot of NSFW moments, so be warned.
Music:
- Always on top of the Kanye West news, Japanator has the already wildly popular Takashi Murakami/Kanye West music video up.
Cons:
- Last but not least, NYAF has announced another guest: Masaharu Morimoto, also known as Iron Chef Morimoto. Morimoto was actually the third Iron Chef to appear on the original Japanese program, and is also one of the Iron Chefs on the American version of the show as well.

[...] I haven’t watched the whole thing, so I can’t wholeheartedly endorse it, but this documentary, Manga Mad Tokyo, has some interesting visuals. (Via Comics Worth Reading and Gia.) [...]
