Haruhi Dance Game Loses Dance, Gains MiniGames

Hey, remember how the blogiverse went all “hey wait what?” when the new Haruhi game for Wii was announced, since the first Wii game– a “Hare Hare Yukai” dance game –isn’t even out yet?

Well, the mystery remains unsolved, but Sankaku Complex reports that the dance portion of the game has been cancelled and will be replaced with a bunch of minigames, including Haruhi fortune telling, baseball, something to do with the Mikuru Beam, and…a “Nagato viewer” where you watch Yuki’s movements closely. (Really? O_o;;)

Is it just me, or has the team working the Haruhi franchise lost its focus? Or maybe they’re just feeling too much pressure to announce stuff before they’re ready? We have a second season that still has no dates, we have a second anime that’s been announced before we get that second season, we have a second Wii game announced before the first comes out, and now that first Wii game is being revamped…what’s going on, Kadokawa?

  1. Niko Says:

Maybe the randomness is intentional. Haruhi just can’t make up her mind.
