Who needs the Code Geass dub trailer when you’ve got the entire first episode online? And of course, it’s also airing tonight on adult swim at 1:30am.
Just, y’know, in case you forgot.

According to a post on ToonZone, voice actress Tara Platt spilled on her website that Buso Renkin was going to air on Adult Swim (she voices Tokiko in the show), only to have the info taken down shortly thereafter.
The forum poster speculates on whether it will actually appear on Adult Swim, or if it might not be on Toonami instead, or if it’s happening at all. (They also chat a bit about what the deal is with Media Blasters’ Geneon license rescue Seirei no Moribito, which was announced for [as] but still hasn’t been scheduled). Anyway, I didn’t remember hearing about Buso Renkin on the network (and don’t see any other news on it), so I thought I’d let you know what the rumor mill is up to. Feel free to commence speculating!

Thank god for nebs66 or I’d have missed this completely: not only is Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion airing on Adult Swim starting on April 26th, it will also air online at Adult Swim Fix the evening before the TV broadcast.
Spiffy. I might actually get around to watching it! (Hey, I’m usually asleep at 1:30am, okay?)

Bandai has officially announced that Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion will start airing on Cartoon Network on Saturday, April 26th at 1:30am. The slot is currently held by Blood+, which ends on March 22nd. During the interim they’re going to air episodes 12, 13, 25, and 26 of Cowboy Bebop, apparently.

I got a google alert for this article from Media Life Magazine, which notes that Cartoon Network (and specifically Adult Swim) has made some serious gains in the 13-40 male demographic– in spite of, or perhaps in part because of, the WGA strike. The article denounces that idea, noting that it’s part of a trend for Adult Swim that began prior to and has been unaffected by the strike.
But on to the funny part:
The Adult Swim lineup consists of a rotating roster of animated shows, including former and current Fox hits “Futurama” and “Family Guy,” as well as network originals like “Robot Chicken,” “Metalocalypse” and “Shin Chan.”
…Okay, I get that Shin Chan hasn’t aired on any other stations in the U.S., but that doesn’t make it quite the same thing as a “network original” like Robot Chicken, which was created specifically for the network.
Silly mainstream media.
