I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: I’m not really a gamer. But this is big news for the entertainment industry as a whole. I mean, the biggest entertainment launch in the history of the United States now belongs to a video game. Halo 3 grossed more than any movie has ever opened to, though I’m not sure if that’s adjusted for inflation or not.

So, is it a sign that movies are failing? That video games are moving up in the world? A bit of both? I really don’t have enough time to speculate now thanks to Japanese class, but it’s something to think about.
