The rock manga Detroit Metal City, which follows a KISS-esque band, is being made into a live-action movie, and Kenichi Matsuyama (alias L in live-action Death Note) is in it. And so, apparently, is Gene Simmons, playing the Demon God of Rock and Roll in a cameo appearance. He’s apparently tickled pink to do it, too.

L fangirls, be on your mark, get ready…buy! TokyoGraph has word on a new photobook for L actor Kenichi Matsuyama (that’s the live-action actor, not the seiyuu, btw). Death Note and L fan / photographer Mika Ninagawa has photographed Matsuyama-as-L in various locations around Tokyo and they’re compiling it into a photobook, whose release coincides with the new L movie– whose title is now “L change the WorLd,” btw. (It’s worth checking the cast page of that official site, btw; there are some interesting faces.)
