Hey, speaking of fall shows, CrunchyRoll has just shot out a press release announcing that Gonzo’s Linebarrels of Iron will join the growing list of Gonzo titles to be simultaneously released in Japan and the US on the streaming and download-to-own site.

Expect the first episode today at 12:45pm PST. CrunchyRoll has reverted to a more standard pay structure: free streaming, $1.99 for download-to-own (PC only), and $2.99 for download-to-own (PC plus iPod and PSP).

So! Hit up the season preview for information and a trailer, and hit up CrunchyRoll in about two and a half hours for the actual episode if it looks like your kinda show!

It’s probably safe to guess that Gonzo’s new Linebarrels of Iron anime project– announced ages ago, so don’t worry if you don’t recognize the name –will be offered up in English in short order, judging by the official website, which has a remarkably complete English-language version…and now it also has an English-language trailer up. (Interestingly, it’s accessible from the Japanese page, not the English one, and you have to plug in your gender, age, and birthplace in a Japanese form to access the trailer…)

Now, there’s no guarantees here– Romeo x Juliet had an English site and trailer as well, and obviously it took a while for that to hit the US. But Gonzo hadn’t even started its simultaneous North American releases when RxJ started running. So it’s certainly a possibility, though no doubt GDH will let us know when they’re good and ready.
