ANN has picked up on an announcement that the Japanese magazine Pop Teen will be posting free monthly installments of the manga Gal Samurai, about an ass-kicking kogal with special powers, on their website.

A friend of mine said the manga sounded really unique, but I gotta say - a Japanese “gal”-type named Ran who goes around kicking butt? Sounds pretty familiar to me. But hey, free is free, and straight from Japan? I’m there.
