This isn’t directly anime-related, but I know there are more than a handful Oshii fans amongst you readers: TokyoGraph reports on a new Mamoru Oshii (pictured left) project in which he invites three other directors (including Battle Royale scribe Kenta Fukasaku) to join him in creating a film called Kiru ~ Kill.

The unique concept of the film? It’s nothing but climactic fight scenes. The four scenes are designed to look as though they’re the finales to their own individual films, though apparently the theme uniting them is swordfighting. Oshii’s segment is called “ASSAULT GIRL2″ and features Rinko Kikuchi (pictured right) and Yoko Fujita, who will apparently do silent battle on an open field.

The film is due December 6th, and I for one think it sounds really interesting.
