TokyoGraph reports that Akira Miyashita’s manga Sakigake! Otokojuku is being developed into a live-action film, do be written, directed, and starred in by Tak Sakaguchi. I guess if you can’t get something done right, you gotta do it yourself?

The ’80s Shounen Jump title is about a school full of violent delinquents, and was even made into an anime in ‘88, and has continued its popularity in the gaming realm. The most recent Sakigake! game was released in 2005 for PS2, and characters from the manga also appear in the Jump Ultimate Stars.

So according to ComiPress, there’s this neat service in Japan that will pass on letters from lowly consumers and send them on to corporate chairmen. One of the ways that they pick letters to pass on is based on the sheer number of letters.

So, naturally, a write-in campaign to Shounen Jump has begun for the return of Hunter x Hunter, but from the look of it, only a few people have taken part so far. So if you wanna commit fraud and make up a Japanese address, feel free to join in, I guess!
